What is the solution to the problem?
There are several solutions to protect Paramedics and the people they save:
- Support rational billing practices to adequately fund paramedic services, ensuring quality, advanced pre-hospital care to stabilize patients as early as possible
- Promote the allocation of state funds to support paramedics and volunteer EMTs.
- Support a temporary legislative solution until the Department of Health and Senior Services completes its formal review of New Jersey’s EMS system
- Support the local volunteer ambulance squads who provide their services outside of the cumbersome Medicare billing system.
